You choose how much energy is reserved for emergency power and how much is used in daily energy optimization. The transition from grid supply to backup mode takes as little as 20 milliseconds. This is so fast that you won't even notice it, and devices on backup will continue to operate without interruption.

Peak Shaving is a feature that allows the battery to take the peak load off your consumption. This is particularly important for customers whose electricity bill is conditional on them not exceeding an agreed limit on their maximum electricity consumption.
